ZURICH, 1 February 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Crypto Broker AG, the brokerage company of the Crypto Finance Group, has been granted a securities house licence with a bilateral trading system by FINMA, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority. The licence is a recognition of the group’s flawless professional approach to trading crypto assets, liquidity provision and innovation in financial services, making it a preferred business partner for institutional investors and major financial players. This milestone caps a successful previous year for the group, with the brokerage trading over $1 billion in assets by 2020.
Crypto Finance is one of the few cryptographic brokers in the world to meet the licensing requirements imposed on securities firms operating in established financial markets. Once in force, this licence also brings new commercial potential in the trading of security tokens.
« The granting of the securities firm license for our brokerage firm is a crucial moment for us. It means that we will be able to offer our professional – and regulated – services to more financial institutions, allowing them to enter this new asset class. The license also recognises the dedication and expertise of our team, » said Jan Brzezek, founder and CEO of the Crypto Finance Group.
Rupertus Rothenhaeuser, CEO of Crypto Broker AG, added: « Today’s announcement marks an important milestone in the realisation of the Crypto Finance Group’s vision of providing professional products and services to the ever-changing digital world. Given the exponential growth of the digital asset business with our customers last year, we expect continued expansion of the business in 2021. »
