In a communication sent to its Canadian resident clients, IC Markets has advised that, for reasons beyond its control, effective June 26, 2018, IC Markets will cease to support transactions by clients resident in Canada.
IC Markets added that there can be no exceptions. Therefore, in accordance with Clause 4.7 (e) and Clause 28 (1) of the IC Markets General Terms and Conditions, IC Markets has no choice but to terminate the contracts of Canadian clients, effective 26 July 2018.
As a result, IC Markets’ clients will have until 22 July 2018 to close all open positions and will not be able to open new positions from that date.
Therefore, it is important to note that as of July 22, 2018, all Canadian accounts will be set to read-only and you will no longer be able to use it.
As a result, all trades that remain open on July 22, 2018 will be automatically closed by IC Markets at a closing price determined by the broker.
