At $48,600 (40,000 euros), Bitcoin remains a tempting target for pirates and crooks after its surge this year. It even climbed to $58,355 on Monday before suffering a 17% correction. Deriving a bitcoin had become more profitable than taking a kilo of gold (57,700 dollars). The rise in prices for more than a year has been attracting 2.0 crooks. On 10 February, Europol announced the arrest of eight people suspected of having stolen 100 million dollars in cryptomoney from celebrities, sportsmen and musicians in 2020. They had succeeded in hacking into their phones and SIM cards and thus siphoning off their Bitcoins.
